✈ About us: We believe that aviation will be electric and we need to make this transition happen as soon as possible. Beyond Aero is making long range electric aircraft possible using hydrogen-electric propulsion. Our first aircraft is a zero emission private aircraft, designed for hydrogen propulsion.
In order to strengthen our Engineering team we are looking for a Lead Propulsion Aerodynamics Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
✈ Subject: As the Lead Propulsion Aerodynamics Engineer at Beyond Aero, you will play a crucial role in the development of our aircraft's propulsion system.
Your role will consist in:
- Conducting aerodynamic analysis and optimization of the aircraft's propulsion system to maximize efficiency and performance.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate propulsion components seamlessly into the aircraft's design.
- Leading and managing a team of aerodynamic engineers to ensure project milestones are met and technical excellence is achieved.
- Designing and conducting wind tunnel tests, numerical simulations, and other aerodynamic experiments to validate and refine propulsion system designs.
- Developing and implementing advanced aerodynamic models and methodologies to enhance the overall performance of the aircraft.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise in propulsion aerodynamics to support other engineering teams and ensure successful integration of the propulsion system.

Desired skills and qualifications
- Extensive experience in propulsion aerodynamics, including a deep understanding of airfoil and wing design, thrust optimization, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other aerodynamic simulation tools.
- Strong background in wind tunnel testing and data analysis.
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of aerodynamics engineers effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex aerodynamic challenges.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical findings and recommendations effectively.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in the field of propulsion aerodynamics, ideally in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of electric or hybrid-electric propulsion systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated and passionate about pushing the boundaries of aviation technology.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Ability to work in virtual teams.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

You will be working at Beyond Aero office in Toulouse, France. Partial remote working is possible.
