Mechanical Systems Engineer

✈   Subject: Manage component design of a designated aircraft system (eg. fuselage, wings, tail, engine pylon etc.)

• Manage component design process from end-to-end on a designated mechanical system, including
• Initial concept sketching
• 3D CAD model of parts and assemblies
• Perform simulation and analysis (structural finite-element analysis)
• Prepare production drawings conforming to applicable regulatory standards
• Apply knowledge of materials, finishes and manufacturing processes to drawings
• Participate in design reviews
• Liaison with operations during manufacturing process to ensure that all design issues are resolved and drawings are updated
• Participate in evaluation, selection and manage technical interactions with manufacturing suppliers, in collaboration with Program Manager
• Support the engineering team on CAD environment, processes and best practices

✈   About you:

• Master’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or any other directly relevant engineering field required
• 3-5+ years experience in end-to-end mechanical development of similar systems required, in aerospace a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team and autonomy/ownership is essential
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, empathy, ability to work in a startup environment.
• Curious, autonomous, ambitious and willing to break codes / An attraction for entrepreneurship
